The Collision Avoidance System is a seperate system from the Vehicle Control System. It will overirde commands from the Vehicle Control System. Under normal operations the Vehicle Control System will prevent any collision between JPods, however during abnormal conditions the Collision Avoidance System may be needed. Circumstances that may activate the Collision Avoidance System would be an obstruction in the guideway or a malfunctioning JPod.
